Smart Nest thermostat gave “No Power To Rh Wire” error. It turns out a safety switch was cutting out the power from the AC unit because the drain pipes were clogged. This brush was the perfect solution:- Being a girl, it was a bit tough at times to push through the lines, but the sturdiness of this tool was excellent and did the job.- The brush bristles allow for easy cleaning of the hair/junk that gets stuck.- The tool seems durable enough (the snake section especially, but the brush seems pretty sturdy too).Definitely worth the price.

After trying various liquid drain cleaners in a slow bathroom sink drain over the past year+, I finally decided to try something like this.Absolutely amazing! Took less than 3 minutes of minimal effort to snake the tool through the drain assembly and it would seem that the major clog must have been just after the drain entered the wall. I met some pretty good resistance there and I just kept holding pressure down while trying to twist it a bit back and forth. As to be expected, I had to fight the spring wanting to give a bit while applying force but when it finally broke through, that was it! I use this to clean out slow drains and it works well. It IS extra long, which helps clean more of the drain. It does its job well.The only thing I wish is that they put more bristles on it. There's only about an inch or maybe 2 of them. It would get 5 stars if it was more like 3 or 4 inches to scrub the pipe better. Or even if they had the same length but just more of them (denser). But I think it is still pretty good.

This product performed much better than expected. Some reviewers had issues getting the brush past pipe bends but I found this brush to be perfect for the job. Inserting any flexible drain tool into a pipe and past 'P' traps and elbows requires finesse. Generally, you can't just push it straight through. And it's not intended for clearing clogged/plugged drains. My drains, like most descend into a 'P' trap and then into a 90 degree elbow before entering the wall. Gunk can collect on the inner walls all along this path.I was able to insert all 48 inches of this tool into my drains. I first inserted the tool until I felt the first 'obstruction' or pipe bend. Our drains were getting slow and, therefore, a bit stinky. I hate using caustic products like Draino if I don't have to, so the idea of a cleaning brush appealed to me. This brush did the trick beautifully (and for me, did a MUCH better job than any drain cleaning liquid/foam/whatever, that I've used in the past). It was so easy...dare I say...fun? It slipped down the vanity drains in the bathroom lickety-split as I ran hot water and worked it up and down as I fed it along the length of pipe to scrub the sides down of muck. Not a huge mess to clean up once I slipped it out of the drain either. This is a perfect and easy-to-use drain brush. HOWEVER: be sure there are no barriers in you drain. Almost all drains have cross-pieces an inch or two down, in which case you can't use this brush.

After trying countless chemical drain cleaners, because the previous owners of our house glued the entire sink trap together making disassembly impossible, I recently thought what about a baby’s bottle brush on a long flexible shaft. And guess what, Amazon has it. I followed the simple directions of start running hot water and slowly feed it into the drain with an up and down stroke. While doing this the sink continued to fill as usual. Within about 1 minute, the sink all of a sudden drained. Whatever had been blocking the flow and was resilient to countless chemicals cleared. I then spent another 2 minutes repeating the whole procedure to ensure the pipe insides were fully scrubbed. Bought this to clear AC condensate drain line (tried to blow it out, but that didn't work). Works well on straight runs, easy curves, or single 90-degree turns. Not flexible enough to get all the way through the 180-degree tight turn of the trap in this small-diameter AC drain line. Probably is flexible enough to navigate the trap on larger-diameter drain lines, like a sink drain, which seems to be the intended use based on the package picture. So, good for most drains. But if you need to clear the whole trap on a small-diameter AC drain you'll need to try something more flexible.
