Handy tool when needed. (I have the larger antique Stanley version of this tool too, still in use.) Works nicely for demolition/deconstruction of trim work, especially for salvaging. Yes, it can leave a mark, but filler and paint are your friends. This smaller size tool is convenient in tight quarters. Cats claw isn't always the answer. This compliments other pullers in your kit.

I bought a slide hammer tool similar to this made by crescent for slightly cheaper. Low key it’s garbage compared to this for the one reason of the little piece of spring metal.I ended up needing more of a cats paw for what I needed (removing nails from hurricane ties) because this didn’t penetrate below the head of the nail as easily against metal.However I plan on doing pallet wood stuff and salvaged wood upcycling where I think this will come in more handy without damaging the wood too much.

I rarely comment on products, I believe they should work as advertised and if that's all they do then I got my money's worth. I have been replaced deck boards on my front and back porches and struggling removing the old boards. I purchased this nail remover not expecting much. But was I surprised, this work amazing and will save me many hours of hard labor. I wish I had bought this weeks ago. Even the nails embedded come out on the first try with only about 3 or 4 whacks with the hammer to set the hooks. I would recommend anyone having to pull a large amount of nails to purchase this tool immediately. It will be a new standard in my tool belt.

This thing is a monster. I like it, but beware of the blunt force necessary for this tool to work right. For example, I'm pulling a set of nails on my window sill, but if i hammer this in its to aggressive on the frame. I'll need to drill around the nail a bit and then use this thing to pull the nail. But that is, just what it is, no issues from my side. Great product.

Purchased as a gift for a family member who had a house full of sub-flooring to remove. He reported that it worked but that despite holding it as softly as possible while still retaining control his wrist quickly became sore from the shock of the hammer blows, prompting him to switch to a different tool. However it might be fine for occasional usage. There were no apparent quality issues.

I wanted to really like this since it would be a nice compact tool to replace my ancient nail puller. Problem is, it’s actually too small. More specifically, the strike face is way too narrow to reliably hit with a hammer. Normally this isn’t an issue since I’m used to hitting in tiny nail. However, the tool itself is extremely wobbly when you push it against the wall. It’s also long enough so the strike face is jittering left and right. Hard to hit.Second problem is the jaws. They’re way too flat. There’s too much surface area lined up against the wall/wood you’re trying to penetrate. So versus my older tool, I have to drive it in a lot harder to get the same level of penetration. And since the jaws are flat, you have to also penetrate a lot deeper to ensure the jaw gets a good purchase …

I'm in the process of salvaging the pickets off of my neighbor's old fence panels. They replaced their fence and were going to haul the old panels to the dump, but many of the picket boards seemed good. The pickets are tightly nailed with long nails which are difficult to pull out. This tool is doing the job and I like the fact that the pincer jaws are holding up just fine. Apparently there is truth the the legend that Swedish steel is very strong.

Having used the slide hammer variety, i was dismissive of the small size and did not expext much performance wise. I was wrong! This fits in where the slide hammer puller wont. It has two leverage positions to get into those tight quarters. The small jaws are tough! They do minimal marerial damage, and they dont let go of the nail! I was and am blown away by this tool. Just removed 10 imbedded framing nails with relative ease worth every cent!
